This website was established to provide the Marlboro community with factual information about our upcoming bond referendum so as to allow the voters to make an informed decision about whether or not to support it.  If anyone has questions about the referendum, please contact Dr. Eric Hibbs who will be able to answer any of your questions at ehibbs@mtps.org.  Please remember to vote on September 26!
  • A successful referendum will make our schools better and safer for kids.

  • A successful referendum will save millions of dollars in the long-term.

  • A successful referendum will not impact taxes in the short term.

  • On average, our systems are (40 +) years old and past their useful life.  We estimate that within the next (4 - 5) years they will all need to be replaced.

  • It can be done with Marlboro taxpayers paying 60% of costs.

  • A successful referendum means that the state of NJ will pay for 40% of costs.

  • This referendum is better for children, the community, and the taxpayers of Marlboro because every one of these systems and improvements will need to be replaced in the near future.

  • This is the most financially responsible way.

  • Each of these projects will need to be completed anyway.

  • We will replace systems with energy efficient systems saving money.

  • We can bring A/C into all our schools and save money doing it.
